U.S. COAST GUARD PHOTOGRAPH : Coast Guard Lieut. Robert Edge towers above a captured Japanese, who has been assigned to pushing a broom aboard an invasion transport. The Japanese is one of those who preferred life to "Immortal Death" in the service of his Emperor, and became a prisoner of war in the Cape Gloucester, New Britian invasion. 6/22/1945
