PHOTOGRAPH - U.S. ARMY Troops debark from a U.S. ARMY transport at a
southern English port under the watchful eyes of Lt. Col. Warren D. Lamport
and Major James L. Stunston, Port of Embarketion officers. Until now,
submarine danger has made it inadvisable for troop carriers to land at ports
of debarkation in the south of England. This ship is one of the first to
arrive at a southern port. England 10/10/1944
